  • Begin by laying on your back and bending knees

  • Place the heels of the feet on the ground

  • Place your arms down alongside the body

  • Press into feet, engage the core and lift the hips

  • Pull the shoulders back, placing the shoulder blades into the mat

  • Taking a deep breath lower back down

Baby Cobra Pose

This pose enhances spinal flexibility encouraging deep breathing

  • Start by laying on the stomach

  • Place the palms in front of chest and in line with shoulders

  • Gently push up until stomach is off the ground.

  • Inhale and exhale while in this pose

  • Lower back down and repeat the pose

Supine Spinal Twist

In addition to enhancing deep breathing, this pose reduces lower back pain and improves digestion.

  • Lie on back, Stretching out arms at the sides in a T shape

  • Inhale and draw left knee to your chest

  • Exhale and draw the knee towards right side of the body.

  • Turn the head to left

  • Hold on for 10 seconds

  • Inhale, draw the knee back to center and repeat other side.

Cat- Cow Pose

The combo of cat pose and cow pose opens up the chest improving lung capacity.

  • Get onto hands and knees, placing hands under shoulders and knees under hips

  • With each exhale, round the back and pull belly button to the spine

  • With each inhale, drop the belly and arch the back
